INTL 221 - RUSSIAN CULTURE AND CIVILIZATION
A brief survey of Russian civilization from the 9th century to the present. This course will emphasize the emergence of a distinctly Russian culture among the Eastern Slavic peoples as manifested in the literary and aesthetic legacy of the Russian people and in the behavior and character of present day Russian society.
