AFST 490 - TOPICS:
The descriptions and topics of this course vary from semester-to-semester as well as from instructor-to-instructor. Prerequisites: varies with the topic offered. AFST 490 AFRICANA STUDIES. This special seminar is designed to provide students/co-learners concentrating in Africana Studies an opportunity to discuss and debate selected issues within the field such as Afrocentrism, Multiculturalism, Affirmative Action, Black Feminism and reparations for African Americans. Students will be responsible for producing a major research paper on a topic of concern within the field of Africana Studies as referenced above.
