EDUC 221 - SOCIAL CONTEXT OF EDUCATION
A consideration of the various roles education has played in the development of American society. The course will examine social, political, and economic forces that have affected educational policy and practice in school and non-school settings, with particular attention given to contemporary educational issues. Prerequisite: Admission to the Teacher Education Program. Permission of Instructor.
